Tennis has been a popular activity at Green Spring since the early 1900s. There are stories of children arriving for tennis lessons by horseback in the early days. Green Spring has some of the best tennis courts in the greater Baltimore area. There are 5 Har-Tru courts which are open seasonally from the beginning of April until the beginning of November. We also have two hard courts which are open for play year round. The Har-Tru courts are located next to the tennis shop, pool, snack bar, club house and the 18th hole of the golf course. A very visible location for other members to check out the action that is taking place on the courts. There is also a ball machine available for members to use to further improve their skills. In the tennis shop members will be able to purchase apparel, racquets, balls, accessories and more! The hard courts are located next to the paddle hut and paddle courts by the 1st hole of the golf course. On the hard courts there are four Pickleball courts lined out as well as a basketball hoop and a backboard.”
